Meet Your Potter

Hey, I’m the Friendly Potter. Husband to Hope (my college sweetheart with the laugh that stopped me in my tracks), cat dad to our rescue Pickles, and a maker working out of our cozy 409-square-foot apartment above a coffee shop that sells... let’s just say, okay coffee.

I found clay in 2020, an anchor during a time when the world felt upside down. The wheel became a place where I could slow down, get quiet, and feel fully present. I’ve always loved making things, but pottery felt different. It’s tactile, grounding, and just the right amount of unpredictable. Every piece is a little reminder that imperfections are where the real magic happens.

Our loft doesn’t have a single exterior window, but when I’m at the wheel, the whole space lights up. It’s times where I feel melted in the moment, and somehow connected to something bigger.

I believe pottery is a quiet kind of love language. It can hold coffee and conversation, soup and stillness, blooms and memories. When you share a handmade piece with someone, you’re creating a moment, a small, sacred space for connection.

Thanks for being here. You’re not just supporting a tiny business, you’re cheering on a slower, kinder, more intentional way of living.

Stick around for pottery updates and the occasional Pickles cameo in the newsletter.
